FORT WAYNE – Fort Financial welcomed the public into its newest branch today. The new credit union branch is located at 6342 Saint Joe Center Road, at the southeast corner of Maplecrest and Saint Joe Center Roads in Fort Wayne.
The full-service branch features an open lobby with two private offices, two drive-up lanes and an exterior ATM.
“As more people in Fort Wayne choose Fort Financial for their banking needs, we needed to find a convenient location on the northeast side of the city to serve our members. This new branch was designed to accommodate our growing membership while still providing a high level of service,” said Steve Collins, President and CEO at Fort Financial. “We look forward to welcoming existing and new members into the new northeast side branch.”
The Maplecrest branch is open six days a week. Lobby hours are Monday through Thursday 9:00-5:00, Friday 9:00-6:00 and Saturday 9:00-1:00. The drive-up is open Monday through Thursday 8:30-5:30, Friday 8:00-6:00 and Saturday 9:00-1:00.
The credit union marked the branch’s opening with a ribbon cutting today with Greater Fort Wayne Inc.

The new branch on the northeast side of the city is in addition to two other locations already under construction in Fort Wayne: a new corporate headquarters on Lima Road on the west side of the city and a new branch at the corner of Jefferson Blvd. and Illinois Road in southwest Fort Wayne. The new corporate headquarters will open by the end of 2022, while the southwest branch is expected to open in the spring of 2023.
Design Collaborative is the architect for all three branches. Hagerman Construction is the general contractor for all locations.
With the opening of the Maplecrest branch, the credit union closed its branch inside the northeast Fort Wayne Meijer store on Maysville Road.
Founded in 1946, Fort Financial Credit Union is headquartered in Fort Wayne, Ind. It serves 25,000 members from branches in Indiana, Mississippi and North Carolina providing personal and business banking and lending services.
