2023 Community Involvement Churubusco Style!

Authored By: Amy Haller on 1/18/2024

The staff at the Fort Financial branch in Churubusco certainly had fun in 2023 representing the credit union in our wonderful community! There were so many amazing events that we had the pleasure of participating in throughout the year.

Events at a glance

We kicked things off with the 2nd Floor Gallery & Studio Great Turtle Hunt. It was a lot of fun to watch community members search for “lost” turtles around town and have them visit our branch to meet our new team member, our beloved Tort Finneas.

During Turtle Days, we were delighted to sponsor the Saturday night fun-filled karaoke contest and hear all the talented singers in Churubusco who took to the entertainment stage.

Later in the summer, Miranda Kelly and I put our drawing skills to the test during the Main Street Chalk Walk. We joined other residents and businesses to display our artistic skills in downtown Churubusco, and we were very happy and proud of how our square turned out!

Halloweenfest was such a cool and fun event presented by our friends at the Town of Churubusco and the Churubusco Chamber of Commerce. Jennifer Firestine, Stacey Pape and I truly enjoyed seeing all the kids and adults all dressed up in their Halloween costumes and having a great time as we passed out treats.

Ending the year with the 2nd Floor Gallery & Studio Christmas tree decorating contest was the best way to wrap up our community involvement activities in 2023. The beautifully decorated Christmas trees around the town, along with gorgeous Christmas light decorations, gave that magical feeling that comes with Christmas.

The Churubusco branch staff truly enjoyed all the connections we made in 2023 and being a part of our wonderful community.

Watch for us representing Fort Financial at events around Churubusco all year long in 2024!
